More companies caught in "not-getting-it-at-all" shocker!

From the "we're not laughing with you, we're laughing at you" file comes two examples of how not to do internet marketing.

Captain Morgan - oh dear. A blog that isn't a blog. And a barrage of comments that erm....lack credibility. Perhaps the Captain has been tasting too much of the company product to be able to write a coherent sentence himself? Sharks are circling. Take that plank and walk it.

Accoona - in a desperate attempt to endear the search community to their far-below-radar search engine, it would appear that Accoona's marketing bunnies have been "participating" in forums. Needless to say, it isn't appreciated. I'd link to Accoona, but what's the point.

I blame the influx of instant experts, myself.

Instant marketing blog expert: "You need a blog!"
Company: "Why?"
Instant marketing blog expert: "Everybody has one. Search engines LOOOOVVE them! They're fab!"
Company: "Ok then"

Tip: Talking with people vs talking at people. There's a difference.
