Yahoo! Got The Mojo Working By Default
I agree with Danny Sullivan. I think the case for Yahoo! needs perspective. They've made fantastic improvements, sure, and long may that momentum continue.
So if not the tech, what is the buzz about, then?
Actually, I think it is simpler than some pundits are suggesting. I think Yahoo! has got that (undeniable) good buzz feel about them of late mainly because Google have left that space vacant. Nature loves a vacum.
What Yahoo! are better at than Google is communicating. They get the blogging thing. Google don't. Also, we used to feel a sense of ownership with Google. It was ours. They could still turn that around.
Meanwhile, expect Yahoo! and MSN to fill the void. Yahoo! are doing that better than any other search engine at present. Undeniable.
