Time for the ODP to close?
In the continuing spirit of being open, DMOZ shut down their ironic "site status checks" for webmasters. A good thing, in my view, as the last thing the ODP wants to do is encourage webmasters, a group who have the rather tiresome habit of using the DMOZ Add URL forms to submit their sites in the hope of getting listed. Nobody listens to the ODP - they have to say it time and time again: they are NO LONGER a listing service for webmasters! Even their About Us page is having trouble getting the message.
