Google Sidebar
Google are releasing what is rumoured to be a rich desktop application this week. Microsoft won't be amused, no doubt.
UPDATE: The new Google Desktop (with sidebar) can be found here. There's some plug-ins, too. I'm giving it a whirl. It's cool - I get the info I want pushed to me. You choose the plug-in modules you want. Developers can design their own.
