Blogging For v7n Blog
I have a new paid gig blogging for v7n. More of the same, only longer.
Nicholas Carr laments that in one year of blogging, he's got a good audience, but has racked up a loss.
While this blog makes a profit, it's not my main income stream - that comes from being down in the trenches, doing search marketing, day in, day out. Blogging is a labour of love, a means of networking, and a chance to learn, as I find one of the best ways to learn about something is to write about it. Justifying the time involved has always been a balancing act, as anyone who spends a lot of time posting in forums will know.
So, when John graciously offered me the opportunity to spend a bit more time writing about search and marketing, I said "great!". I needed to get out of bed a bit earlier in the morning anyway.
This blog will, of course, continue. Thanks, as always, for reading and sending me stuff.
