China stops blocking Google.

Yahoo's drive to turn users into paying customers takes a further step forward. The DSL broadband offering, in conjunction with SBC, rolls out next week.

The Oracle of Google. Apparently a useful tool for cheating at "Who wants to be a Millionaire". Thanks to Google Blog for the tip.

And finally today, it looks like Earth may have itself another moon. Or a piece of space junk. Hard to tell.

VitalSeek is a medical search engine that links to accredited health sites. The PR claims that this will help consumers find Web sites more likely to provide reliable health information.

Build 'em up, chop 'em down. Analyst cuts Yahoo! for various reasons, one being that he sees no sign of a meaningful uptick in the market for online advertising.

New search discussion forums Cre8asite. Nice look and feel and a good range of search/ marketing related topics. Some of the moderators may be familiar...

SearchDay have decided to torture search engines. Why not, we say! Nominate a site and searchday will put the search engines to the relevancy test.

Google invited attendees of a recent San Jose search engine conference to a "Google dance" at Google headquarters, the Googleplex. Here's the photos. (We mentioned Google four times in that last sentence - surely some kind of record).

China continues their blockade of leading search engines. This time it's AltaVista. On a related note, Looksmart has not been blocked.

Inktomi reluctantly become homeowners when they are forced to buy their San Francisco premises.

Daypop owner is on holiday, hence the lack of action on rectifying the problems mentioned on Friday. Daypop should be back up on 13 September.

And finally today, cup stacking competitions.
